Windrock OHV Trail

Windrock Trail 22
- Length: 5.9 mi
- Duration: About 2 hours
- Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult
- Location: Oliver Springs
- Windrock Off-Road Park Trail 22 offers a great ride with moderate obstacles. This trail offers everything from steep climbs and water crossings to a couple of challenging rock climbs. It will take a few hours to run so schedule this one for a great afternoon adventure to get up the mountain, go see the windmills, or even check out a scenic overlook of the Tennessee Valley. This trail does have one challenging rock obstacle but other than that it’s a pretty straightforward trail that will be fun for everyone in your crew. This is a privately owned off-road park and does require access permits, so make sure you have your permit before hitting the trail.
Windrock 2 and 16 OHV Trail
- Location: Oliver Springs, Tennessee
- Difficulty: Hard
- Length: 15.3 mi
- You might consider camping at Windrock’s new campground. This route is on the very popular trails 2 &16. Also keep in mind that Trail 16 has been upgraded to a black trail, which indicates that it is difficult and challenging. 35“ tires and 1 locker needed.
The Gatekeeper

- Duration: About 30 minutes
- Difficulty: Severe

- Located in the heart of the 73,000 acre Windrock Park, this daunting double black diamond trail is not for the faint of heart. If we were to try to put a waypoint at all the obstacles, the entire trail would be waypoints. With obstacle after obstacle, if you can make it through “The Gatekeeper”, you should be ready to tackle the rest of Windrock Park.
Panther Rock

- Duration: About 1 hour, 30 minutes
- Difficulty: Moderate

- This trail, located on the edge of Windrock Park, affords the opportunity to visit the scenic overlook at Panther Rock. With an amazing view of the surrounding mountains, as well as down into the valley, prepare to have your breath taken away. This is the perfect spot for a lunch picnic, or a romantic dinner at sunset. Or, if you’re an early riser, we don’t see why you couldn’t have a romantic breakfast at sunrise either. Due to the amazing view it provides, as well as the challenging aspect of the trail, the general consensus is that this is a “you need to do it at least once” kind of trail. If you’re visiting Windrock Park during the fall when the leaves are changing, this a no-brainer “must hit it” trail.
The Connector Trail

- Duration: About 20 minutes
- Difficulty: Easy
- Location: Oliver Springs
- This trail, located in Windrock Park near Oliver Springs, Tennessee, is a great way to get from the campgrounds to the general store. Whether you’re out of toilet paper or want to access other trails on that side of the park, this trail is a great warm-up to get your day started right. The large hill climb/descent at the north end may seem daunting at first, but it offers a fantastic first impression to what Windrock Park has to offer.
Coal Creek OHV Trail
